Video Editing On Laptop ?

I’m just going to buy a laptop for video editing. (Adobe premier pro & after effects )
not a heavy works only youtube videos some intros title with AE templatesshould i go for this specification or not :
Asus R558uq dm701
8gb ram i7 7th gen
2gb geforce 940mx graphic card
1tb hdd.
any suggestion would be highly appreciation .

December 29, 2017 at 5:12 amI would suggest 16G RAM as a minimum for video editing. Have had no problems with a MacBook Pro with the first Premiere CC and 16G RAM.
Double-check the Adobe site for system requirements that the geforce 940mx is one of the NVIDIA GPU cards that Adobe likes for CUDA processing.
Lots of people edit video on laptops — some by preference. I don’t know anything about what 4K requires in terms of memory, CPU speed, or file storage. It’s probably not the shape of the box, it’s what’s inside, connector speed, etc.
You probably want an external drive to backup/store video files.Robert Withers

December 29, 2017 at 10:47 amI think the CPU is Intel Core i7-7500U, and that “U” at the end means it’s a low performance CPU which might not be enough for video editing.

also make sure ur getting a laptop that can be upgraded to 16GB not all can upgrade to 16GB.
Then upgrade to 16GB if it not already 16GB
