I am looking to upgrade my video-editing equipment and have been all over the web and as a result am in need of advice.
I had a new computer built 2-3 yrs ago fashioning it after a unit that ‘Videoguys’ recommended. It worked fine and then I updated my camcorder to HD and it is way too slow using Premiere Elements.

This is just for home video-editing use and yet I want speed editing HD. I don’t want basic stuff and want it to be turnkey. Windows 7-64 bit. Under 5K if possible. Adobe CS5 pre-installed with after effects.

Can someone knowledgeable give me some direction as to a good configuration? I can have the unit made or purchase. I would rather purchase and in Canada than fool around with the border.

    I appreciate it.

    Hi Duane,
I think you should post this directly in the Premier pro forum.
