Video Digitizing 4 or 5 Sec. and then abort plz help out
Hello.
I have a big problem…. when I Capture the video for now mode in FCP 5 the video digitizing time 5 sec. or 4 sec. and autmatically abort… the dv is good condition. and running the VTR DSR 1800p is good. No time code problem. I have G5 Dual 2 ghz machine with 2 GB RAM. and DSR 11..
When I have G4 800 mhz machine and FCP 4. I am not facing like this problem…

Can you capture a logged clip successfully? i.e. NOT use capture now?

I dont know this is FCP 5 problem or DSR 11 ….. but some dv’s running well… -
How much disk space do you have on the capture disk? Maybe it’s become too fragmented to sustain the data rate coming in – just a thought?

You have to give more information about your system.
What kind of scratch disk do you have and how fast is it?

I’ve had this happen before when I mistakenly had my scratch disk
set to one that either didn’t have the capacity or the speed to
keep up. This sometimes happens after a crash and you forget to
reset the scratch…Ron
