Video clips out of time sync with preview window?

Does your file play okay outside in a media player on your pc ?

You can try disabling GPU acceleration in Vegas Pro – don’t know if it will help – but you can try: Tools/Preferances/Video Tab/ and set the GPU Acceleration dropdown to “OFF” and restart Vegas pro !

Do you use VLC media player ?
If it plays okay in VLC – you can try to convert to another mp4 file in VLC media player !

Hi Jamie. Then you can replicate the issue with a differently rendered Source Media. This is a good thing, ‘cos implies that the settings in Vegas aren’t good, and we bneed to do some more detective work.

OK, I need more info. Your Preview Window isn’t providing all that it could. See the “Hamburger” here:

Click on it and select ALL the options. It will reveal a stack more of useful info an valuable tools. Once you’ve achieved that do another ScreenGrab and post it here.

Can you try changing Preview Quality to Draft? You have it on Best. Does this make a difference?

Hi, there’s something truly choking Vegas. Whether space or working on one Disc or whether that other disc is or isn’t getting in the way, there’s something seriously wrong. Be assured that I don’t get this happening, but I’m at a loss to come back with a solution.

Thank you kindly for trying to help, I appreciate it. It’s a strange problem and I don’t understand it. Whenever the timeline is within a clip at the beginning, it just shows black in the preview window on any setting, as if it’s slightly behind. It makes precise editing difficult or near impossible. It randomly started with VEGAS Pro 13 on my original computer and I’ve only just purchased VEGAS Pro 16 for my new one.
