  Video Card with H.264 Support

  ATI is coming out with a card that will help play H.264

  I’m guessing that this will allow machines that can’t currently play back H.264 smoothly to be upgraded into one that can.

  Anyway, after reading people here talking about how slowly FCP5 takes to encode 264, I’m wondering if a card like this could help that process out. Obviously, no one here could actually KNOW yet, but I was wondering if anyone knew if that was a reasonable guess, or if these things just don’t work that way.

  Any ideas?
