I hope this isn’t one of those “to dumb to answer” questions but I’m not very experienced with full time usage of FCP.

What I need is an s-video or composite video output card (g4 dual 1.42 mirror door) that I can use in addtion to the “standard” video card that outputs to my flat panel monitor. The present one doesn’t have any s-video outputs. This addl card doesn’t have to be expensive as I only need to show content for review to a scientific group.

Is there anything that you can recommend?

I always monitor through a DV device. Mac>firewire>camera or deck>SVHS or componate into a monitor. Only thing that will monitor out the card are things like the Kona cards. Then it’s SDI and stuff.

    Hope this helps-

You have the Canopus ADVC 110.

Works like a charm and has the AD option for capturing as well.

Or you may check out Decklink or AJA’s products for more advanced solutions.
