video card for intensive video event effects
I need to purchase/put together a new machine, for about $1600. Am wondering about graphics cards to use with SVP 10-12. There have been several very helpful threads. My particular variation is that I use a real lot of intensive video effects. I can’t afford something at the Quadro 4000 level. Any thoughts on cards (brand, architecture, etc.) particularly suited for intensive video event effects? And whether to use one card or two? Thanks!

There are several good recommendations in this thread:
Survey of GPU’s for Vegas Pro 11.0
I would stick with NVIDIA and I’m not sure Vegas Pro will take advantage of more than one card.
