    I’m using Video Capture 5.

I have a saved file from which I wanted to capture some clips. During the first clip there were several dropped frames as I forgot to close a background application so I canceled it.

When cancelling, it updated my clip info for the time I cancelled it! WTF?
I had auto save on so it overwrote my file and I had to remark the clip.

Why the hell is is doing that? I just wanted to cancel capturing the clip NOT update the in/out times. Obvious bug no?

I tried this several times ….. anytime you cancel a clip it will update the in/out times and use the time you cancelled as the new out time. Seems freaking stupid as hell to me!

Why are you using Capture if the video is already a file? Just put the thing in the timeline.

NO I don’t have the clip already – I am recapturing some stuff from archive . . .

Richiedude, I have also seen that happen. I use Batch Capture and manually enter my start/stop points. If for some reason I choose to cancel the capture and also choose to delete the captured file, the original entry will, indeed, show as needing to be captured but will now show the length of the clip that actually captured. It was very annoying the couple of times it has happened to me.

yeah REAL annoying escpecially if you had .veg files using edits etc . . . and are recapturing footage. PAIN IN THE ASS and stupid.

I guess I will get in the habit of making a backup copy before capturing from now on.

It SHOULD NOT update in/out points UNLESS I tell it to.
