Ok…here is another question about Sony Vegas Pro 8.0b…I have been using my old camcorder a Sony CCD-TRV85 (X-Ray :-)that is Hi8 format. ( since I repair digital cameras and Camcorders) i could never pay retail again for anything Electronic since I see how they are made…anyways, I use a Dazzle Video Capture device ( the Red one, DVC100). Sony vegas Does not see it. I have to use Pinnacle studio 10.8 to capture the Video since it is not digital. My question is this, since I have 2 Seniors on the Field playing every Friday night, I have to use 3 video cameras. I just got 2 60 Gig JVC Everios working and just got a Sony DCR-SR80 today. All Digital. Do you need a Capture card for the digital or just copy the files from the HDD to Drive on the computer? Or, whats the advantage of one method over the other?
    Thanks .

You don’t need a capture card for digital. Both of those cameras are Hard Disk recorders so you could be able to plug them into your PC via a USB cable and drag and drop the files off of the hard drive and start editing.
