    Hi, I’m new to Encore.

I’m making a dvd of some live performances, with chapter points just as the acts are introduced. I want to put up video buttons that link to these chapter points – but the animated button itself to come from another part of the timeline.

Can anybody tell me how to do this please?

    Cheers
    Ian

Select the chapter marker in the timeline. Move the CTI to any frame in the timeline that you want to be displayed in the button. Right-click the CTI and choose Set Poster Frame.

Since your menu button is a video thumbnail button, the video playing in the button will start from the poster frame you set.
