Video behind transparent png [?]
Hi all,
I have been building a intro where I have the logo has a video playing behind it with slight transparency using the Set Matte effect. Pretty easy stuff. The logo itself is a transparent PNG and has some text coming out (which also is transparent png files) using simple keyframing and cropping, etc.
But, what I would like is for all that to happen with another video being behind (the main video). Sounds simple enough, but unfortunatly there is a big black box surrounding the whole thing by premirere pro. I have tried with importing the prproj file as well as a rendered file. Both dont seem to work.

Hoping there is a relativly simple way of doing this.

if your logo has an alpha channel…
then you you use set matte…
it’s that essentially replacing the alpha channel?

Hi,
The PNG has opacity @ 100%, blend mode = Multiply.
Set Matte is taken from Video1 using alpha channel. Invert Matte and premultiply matte is selected. Stretch o fit and composite matte is not selected.

based on the pic…
V1 is your background fill?
if so, it’s matte (alpha) would be 100% white full frame…
so that means the area around the logo shape would be filled with black….as depicted?
if your intent is to blend the video and logo….and key the logo…
and the logo already has an alpha (based on the logo shape)…..why is the set matte necessary?
i’m sure there is something I’m missing…
this is hard one to answer without putting hands on it…
