I am using an Avid Adrenaline composer, and when i use the quick menu on the bottom of the timeline to change the view of the timeline, from default to BIG EDIT for example, i frequently run into the problem of the Video and Audio tabs becoming very glitchy and not properly aligned, sometimes overlapping and making it difficult to tell which section is which in the timeline. It’s easy enough to just select/deselect all the tabs, which corrects the problem, but it happens ALL THE TIME and is becoming very frustrating. Is this an issue with the program or is it more likely the computer, perhaps with the RAM?

This is more likely a problem with your video card/driver.

Are you using the latest supported driver for your card?
Is the card supported by Avid?

Have a check on avid.com for the latest driver update details.

Media Composer and the other Avid editing apps don’t redraw the screen quite as quickly or in the same way as other Windows apps and with a less than optimum driver, screen redraw problems can exist. Avid apps also give a higher priority to media processing than screen redraws, which can often leave some stray parts of windows not updating but again this is driver specific.
