  Video Assist setup issues

  I’m setting up a new Video Assist unit with my Sony A7R II and have run into a couple of issues that I can’t solve.

  1. I haven’t been able to determine which set of firmware I have and can’t find anything in the manual to see which firmware is in the unit
  2. I downloaded the 1.1 version of drivers from the Blackmagic Design site but the only install option I have is to my MAC, which I did, but now what?
  3. Presuming this firmware is the upgrade that I need, then maybe I will be able to see zebras in the video assist, since I have them in my A7R II if I had a good path of how to install the software, for which I have not found any instructions.

  It seems to be a cool little unit and definitely solves the issue of limited roll time on the Sony’s. I ant it to work, but so far have not had success.

  Any advice would be most appreciated.
