    Hello all,

I have a small production company, I use Sony Vegas (M2T files) and I have accumulated hundreds of good, stock quality video clips in HD format that I want to Archive for my own use.

Something like Juicer from Digital Juice, which is their proprietary software for browsing their Stock Video collections. Sample image of Juicer layout: https://www.digitaljuice.com/_images/products/juicer/browse_popupthumb.jpg

Currently, I’m rendering file names with Commas e.g. (Downtown, Wide Angle, Pan Left, Kids, Park, Skyscraper), etc. so I want to be able to enter these as TAGS for searching.

I don’t mind paying for it.

If you have any suggestions, Please help!

    Thanks
    Adam.

    What about Media Manager?
It was in Pro 8 and became an optional (and still free) download for Pro 9 & 10.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for that great suggestion. I think that’s what I need.

I do have Sony Vegas Pro 8, but it was not there. So I downloaded it (Sony Media Manager 2.4) from Sony’s Website (its a free download) but it hangs during installation. At “Initializing Database Service” popup. Grrh. (I have ALL windows/apps closed).

I killed the setup, and now my Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 hangs, but works again when I uninstall the Media Manager.

Any suggestions? :S For this, or any other software.

Adam, I wish I could help you but I don’t use the software nor am I computer literate enough to understand why your having a problem with it.
A search of a few other Vegas forums didn’t tune up any answers either.
All I can suggest at this point is to email Sony Technical Support and see if they have any suggestions.

    Dear Adam,
I’m in the same situation: looking for a valid archiving and retrieving software. Did you find something?
BTW: we are not working with Vegas.
    Thanks,
    Avshi
