    Shot 720-30p on P2 Cards with a 170
    Same time shot 720-30p onto a FS100 to QT’s with a 200

Now, when I bring them both into FCP to edit.

They both show Compressor@ DVCPROHD 720p60 – good.
BUT, the P2 files read a vid rate of 29.97
and the QT’s off the FS read a vid rate of 59.97
    WHY?

Sounds like you FS100 was set to record in P mode, not pN.

When importing the P2 footage, I imagine that your preferences were set to remove duplicate frames. This results in 30pN files. If you uncheck that option and reimport, your clips should be 59.94 (30p with 2:2 pulldown) like the fs100’s clips.
