With my current PC setup (Win 10 Pro), the only method of transcoding VHS-to-Digital Files I have is to record from VHS to a standalone recordable DVD deck and then rename the VOB files extension to MPG, which then can be placed on to my VP 19 timeline for editing.

I do NOT want to put a card into a PC expansion slot if I can help it, but rather would opt to purchase an outboard external solution. I used to use the VideoBlaster Editor (remember that one, folks?), but alas it is not compatible with Win 10!

I haven’t looked into a similar compatible solution, but there probably are more than one available, no? If so, what does anyone recommend? I would hope to find a solution for $100 or less, but I do need at a minimum S-VHS input capability along with the standard RCA phono stereo audio connections.

    Thanks in advance!
