I have a VHS tape I want to digitize. Ive seen people talk about ways to do this, but I cant figure out how. I am trying to do this with RCA cables connected from video out on the vcr and then into the rca inputs of the hvx200. IM changing every setting I can think of on the camera and I cant get the image on the screen. Anyone know the specific setup? I’m doing what it says to do in the manual but its not working for some reason.

I believe that the RCA jacks on the HVX200 are for output only. Best bet would be to get something like a Canapus box or a Dazzle and ingest it over firewire into your NLE. If you need it on a miniDV you can print to tape to your HVX200 over FireWire directly out of the timeline.
