VHS restore – filters
I have finished capture of some 40 VHS tapes … into DV files.
Some have required attention in AVIsynth / Virtualdub, but I’ll freely admit I find that hard work to understand what is needed … results are impressive though.
For the others I am hoping that I can use Movie Studio Platinum 12 to carry out the tweaking (as well as normal editing)
Some of the Virtualdub filters have now bee written for Vegas –
AutoLevels
Levels Correction
Dynamic Noise Reduction
Smart Smoother etc.Does anybody have any experience of using these in Vegas (or indeed any workflow for VHS restore)
