Next project will be a feature with more than 400 vfx shots. As we can tell, the vfx shots will be nightmare for DI conforming job. Which normally they’ll all have the identical timecode start from 00:00:00:00.
Any experience on this issue will be appreciated.
VFX shots will come from AE, nuke and Fusion.

Probably best to create different folders for the different VFX shots in the Media Pool. Easier to identify them that way.

    hi, Tay.

Does that means, a timeline will always conform JUST within the selected media pool folders when load the edl/XML?
If so, that would be helpful.

EDL/XML will conform to the media that you have imported into the media pool. If it can’t find the clip, you’ll see a red X across the thumbnail of the clip when you go into the Color Page.

I believe there is a feature in the Conform Page that you can tell Resolve to conform to a specific folder, so if yo have a new set of VFX files you can re-conform to that folder. I’ve not tried it personally but have read that you can do this so it may be useful for you.
