    Hello,
I have been working on a project for the last week and a half and this morning I went to open it and I received this error: “This project is unreadable or may be too new for this version of Final Cut.”
I am running FCP version 6.0.5 and haven’t updated to 6.0.6, or worked with this project on any other machines. I’ve tried opening my Auto Saves and even the first one gives me the same error. Also, I have trashed my preferences, my render files, and I trashed a suspected PSD file.
Does anyone have any clue what happened to my project?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Repair Permissions on your system drive. If you have a project that opened and then suddenly didn’t , giving this error, it is typically a permissions issue. Disk Utility in the UTILITIES folder is what you need to do this with.

And projects created with FCP 6.0.6 open with 6.0.5. The only thing that update does is address an issue of FCP recognizing the new MacPros properly and adjusting the RT settings accordingly.
