  Very slow copying

  Hi,

  I’m trying to copy 1.23 Tb of between 2 GRAID FW800 drives.

  Initially tried copying via imac, daisy-chaining the 2 GRAID drives over FW800 via a thunderbolt-FW800 adaptor, but that said 7 days to copy 1.23 Tb… so cancelled that and now have each drive attached to different pots on a macbookpro: 1 via the FW800 port, 1 via a thunderbolt-FW800 adapter.

  It helped but not much. 5 days to copy.

  Tried breaking into smaller chunks, but still painfully slow: a folder of 551.32 Gb is now saying 2 days to copy.

  Have run disk utility and both external drives Verify OK.

  Any ideas?
