    Hi all,

I have recently made the switch from interlaced to progressive footage and looked forward to not having field order issues ever again.

Unfortunately after editing and exporting a 720 25fps (original footage was 50fps) progressive mpeg it looks great on a monitor but when put on a TV screen there is a very slight (no where as near as the more common field order jitter) flicker on panning scenes.

    Have I done something wrong?!

Panning scenes with these new camera need to be done very very slooooooooooowly. I do not see the advantage of shooting 50p and then bringing it down to 720 25 (would that be 720×576 or 1280×720). 50p is great for slowmotion and that is about it, imo.
I shoot hdv 50i, never had any issues with fields, i dont even deinterlace (only for the web).
