very simple about browser
Posted by Tom Maloney on June 9, 2007 at 6:12 pmHope this is a simple question about the browser. How can I rearrange the order that clips are listed in the bin ? Meaning I simply want to drag the first clip to another position, say to be next to last. They seemed to be locked on me and I cannot change them around.
thanks allTom

June 9, 2007 at 6:16 pmYou can sort them alphabetically, by timecode, label, and a bunch of other ways, but not randomly by dragging.
If you need them in a specific order that is not a standard column, put numbers in the comments column and sort that way.

June 9, 2007 at 6:18 pmCan’t do it. The only way to do this is to arrange alphabetically, or by TC. OR you can add 01 and 02 to the clip name to make them come first. Or add a number to the DESCRIPTION field and sort the description field.

As Shane said, and if you really want to insure a certain clip, bin, or sequence is listed first, just add “A1,” like the steak sauce, in front of all the other information. Then you know it will always be on first base.
