Vertical Scrolling / Panning.
OK. This has been bothering me for some time. Is there any way to vertically scroll the timeline. When my sequence start becoming loaded with layers of audio and video, I need to be able to navigate. Obviously there is a vertical scrollbar, but there has to a more efficient way. Its easy to do it horizontally with the middle mouse wheel, but no obvious way to go vertical. Please tell there is a way to use this stone age basic feature.

Hover the mouse over the vertikal scrollbar and use the middle mouse wheel.

Thanks. That’s good to know. It’s easier but still kind of a slowdown. In Final Cut I can easily navigate horizontal and vertical with 2 fingers on a trackpad. In Premiere pressing the middle mouse button does nothing. That’s kind of a waste of a button. Why not click+hold to allow free navigation too. Similar to holding the spacebar to navigate in Photoshop. Unless you can but the feature is not obvious.
