vertical scrolling layer jumps backwards
I have 3 side-by-side video columns intentionally scrolling upward in a screen frame. They shoot up to fill the frame, then slow down and move up as directed. Then, nearly right away, they move back down a bit (about 15 pixels), then they resume their intended speed and path upward again. The video is 1:05 in length, so it is short. I had the same problem with them in Premiere Pro too, so I thought I’d try a more savvy effects program to accomplish the same thing. AE is stumping me too. What might be causing this and how might I resolve it?

Look at the graph editor and play with your middle key frame. If you have easing applied it could be the result of that.

WOW! THIS was immensely enlightening! It WAS whacked somehow and I was able to resolve the issue AND learn something entirely new as a result! Read up on linear, bezier, ease blah blah blah.
