Gotto say I was really hoping that with DR9 we would be able to set any version of a grade as default. That way when I import an XML of an updated edit I will not have to deal with all my grades defaulting to Version_1. I am now working on a music video with a huge amount of cuts and versions and the edit have just been updated… its an absolute nightmare trying to work out the correct versions of each shot.

Anyone have any suggestions that could make life a little easer?

    Cheers

Yes, would be great if we could choose versions like in a desired sequence.

I think Color Trace should help with this issue. It should apply the correct grade based on timecode. Or you can do it in manual mode.

Well, his problem is that the timecode is identical for the versions and Resolve is always using version 1 as default.
I agree, it should use the one that is active as default
