Versioning End Cards
Hello, I have a project where I’m trying to use the same edit but have to version 50+ different end cards. Currently, I’m just working with pre-renders from Premiere. Is there an easy way I could automate this process through After Effects? Perhaps with expressions?

Hey Eric, we need to know what those end cards contains. Whether there are texts only, images, videos, etc. Ideally, screenshot would be the best, if .aep itself is not shareable.
Based on that, solution can be suggested – either through expressions or scripting.

Thanks for the quick message, Tomas. Essentially I’m trying to help my friend’s band out letting people know that their new record will be available in stores in 2021. There’s a short video intro that is 10 seconds long, then this end card appears for 5 seconds.
The end card is comprised of a .jpg background, their logo as a transparent .png and then the text layers are created in Premiere but can easily be adapted to After Effects.
I have about 50 record stores I needed to change the name, address and city for. I thought it might be easier to make pre-renders of the end card and then piece it back together that way. So I do have 5-second files labeled Chicago_End_Card.mov, etc. I thought I could pair that back with the main edit: Devils_Teeth_Main.mov.
Again appreciate any insight and help.

I’d put all the data into a spreadsheet, then use a tool like CompsFromSpreadsheet to do the versioning:
