Has anyone discovered a player such as VLC Player, that can display the closed captioning of a Vegas rendered MPEG-2 file?

I know that I can delete the .scc file and bring the rendered file back into Vegas to make sure that the closed captioning is there. The issue is that our Master Control QC operators do not always see the vegas captioning on their high end monitor when QC’ing the file. It may take several attempts before the captioning is recognized. At times perfectly good files are rejected at QC stage because they are not seeing the captioning that is in reality there. It would be great to have a software player that can play the mpeg-2 file and display the closed captioning and end this madness.

Any thoughts? How are you guys verifying closed captioning for broadcast? Thanks, Rick.
