I would give this a Clio, a Gold Lion, two Emmies and five Auroras.
It’s right up there with “The Reel Truth” and “Truth in Advertising”.

    Excellent find!

What? Doesn’t your grocery store let you take home food and let you pay when you feel like it? 😉

I’m going to have a meeting just like this tonight after work, really. Lucky for me, I can walk away if I don’t like it.

[Steve Kownacki] “Doesn’t your grocery store let you take home food and let you pay when you feel like it? ;)”

I had the local Albertson’s account a few years ago. After two small productions at $3500, a fair price, they informed me that I had to cut the price by $500 and that they needed 45 – 60 days to pay because they are a bit “cash strapped”. I said that I would agree on the condition that I got the same deal at the Albertson’s Grocery near my house. Not only did they decline but a week later, while I was at NAB, they called to say that they needed an emergency copy of a recent job I did for them. When I told my contact that I was in Vegas for a convention, he suggested I jump on a plane to Phoenix after the show closed for the day, run his DVD and deliver it (34 miles away) and then “zip” back to Vegas. I told him that I would do it for $400. I never heard from them again. I shop at Fry’s now.

    The nerve of some people.

    love it.
It’s always amazed me how so many go out of their way to begin a relationship by losing all respect in meeting one.

Here’s an excerpt from a recent email for $800 worth of changes to a video:

“…sorry for the outstanding balance. I don’t remember
receiving this invoice. I was under the impression that you
just gifted me the rest of the work. …By the way, I might be shooting another video when I come back home. I’ll keep you posted.”
