    Hey all,
I recently saw V for Vendetta and loved the effect where time slowed down and you could see V’s knives blur almost.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to replicate the effect. I’ve tried a couple ideas but they haven’t worked.

    thx

Yeh, i did this effect myself once. I’ll have a tutorial for it soon on rhys-works.com when i get the revamp done, but it’s simple enough. I used particular, made a custom particle, and basically made it follow a line of motion. The particle itself was about a two pixels wide and coloured appropriately, and animated in such a way that it came out in a line. This is a shot from a test render i did,

cool. could you send me a quick rundown or maybe a screenshot of your settings for particular. I haven’t been able to find the right combination. Thx so much in advance
