    Hi

On this moment i’m a vegas user but also a after effects user and maybe I want to switch over to première pro because of it’s connection with after effects. Can anyone tell me what vegas can that première pro can’t and what première pro can what vegas can’t??

    Thanks in advance!!!

We cant give you all the answers to that in one post, and only you can decide
which NLE works best for you.
If you are already familiar with Vegas and After Effects, there is really no need for anything else.

When someone asks what editing program they should learn, I tell them that if you are paid by the hour, then you want to be using Avid or Premiere.

It very much depends on the type of files you will be using, how you plan on working, how you intend on finishing/delivering (prores? 4k?) etc.

[Stephen Mann] “I tell them that if you are paid by the hour, then you want to be using Avid or Premiere.”

That’s pretty funny! What Stephen is saying (in case you didn’t get his humor) is that you can edit a lot faster in Vegas Pro than either Avid or Premiere. I tried Premiere Pro because I happen to own a copy that came with Creative Suite 6 and everything takes a few steps more to do in Premiere than it does in Vegas. I got frustrated and never learned it.

About the only NLE I would stack up against Vegas Pro for speed is Final Cut Pro X. But then you’d need to switch to Mac like I did. 😉

    Likewise got frustrated learning it.
Actually early in my career it was Premiere that i started off using
before stumbling across Vegas. Sony Vegas editing process is faster
    and more streamlined.
