    Hello,

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of how Vegas performs using an Intel Dual-Core vs. an Intel Dual-Core Duo?

I understand there are many speeds for both processor so you have to make sure you are comparing apples-to-apples, but just in general it would be interesting to see if anyone has seen or heard of any perceptible Vegas performance difference between the two processor generations.

    Thanks in advance.

I assume you are talking about Intel Core Duo vs Intel Core 2 Duo. The latter, the Core 2 Duo, performs *far* better.

    Yes Terje, it’s a Intel Core2 Duo E64000 2.13Ghz with 2Gig ram, 500-watt P/S, XFX GeForce 6800 Xtreme video card.

Running an e6600 dual-core 2 – and compared to my p4 3.0 – the dual-core 2 flies through renders, even when I’m doing something else on the same computer.
