    Hi,
using Vegas 32 & 64 bit on Windows 7 PC. Everything fine except last week I finished making a music video. Saved it in 3 locations with complete/trimmed source files. One week later all of these files cause vegas to crash while loading at same percentage…if I hadn’t already rendered out a “high quality” MP4 for youtube this would be a big disaster..as it is Im rendering from a render as original is NOT USABLE….

Now..EVEN WORSE….I start on new music video and load 5 wav files in of drums/bass/guitar etc cos I want to tidy them up….NO PEAKS!! Doesnt even attempt to build them. NO option in Prefs/Gen to turn them on or off? I have NOT changed a thing in vegas prefs or on my PC.
Shift F5/Rebuild peaks does nothing at all..not even an error message. I have uninstalled and re-installed and rebooted.
My work is making music videos and recording/mastering mixing…I CANT WORK please help ASAP I am supposed to get a mix to the band tonight and Vegas is broken..

[Russell Gough] “NO option in Prefs/Gen to turn them on or off?”

Try: View | Audio Event Waveforms (Ctrl+Shift+W)

[Russell Gough] ” I have NOT changed a thing in vegas prefs or on my PC.”

I’d bet you typed Ctrl+Shift+W without realize it.

    Thanks John!
I must have done….although I was confused how both 32bit and 64bit versions were affected…I guess the hardware addressing portion of Vegas is different between versions but the user interface is the same.
Once again thanks especially for the fast reply! I can work again 🙂

Oh…wow again. I can open that video project again…weird as it was only that one project affected…

    Phew…sorry all for my panic!

Glad that’s all it was. Vegas 32-bit and 64-bit share all the same parameters. Think of them as just one program that can run in either 32-bit mode or 64-bit mode because that’s how it behaves.

I learn something new every day! I may just stick with 32 bit
as Magic Bullet Looks wont work with 64 bit anyway. Lifesaver tonight..daily audio demo complete 🙂
    Thx
