Hey guys, I’ve been editing with Sony Vegas for years shooting music videos. I’m pretty embedded in my workflow. I make a separate video track/row for every scene/location in the music video. I then cut and drag the clips I want onto the row for that scene and apply all effects to the row itself. Therefore, every clip on that row will take on the selected effects. Only the clips on that specific row/track will be affected by the selected effects. Each row has its own unique effects.

I recently was trying out Premier Pro in attempt to switch over. The biggest thing I didn’t like was that you had to apply effects through adjustment layers or to individual clips. Adjustment layers won’t work with my workflow because any layer under the adjustment layer will be affected by the clips applied to it. Is there a way in Premier Pro to apply effects to an entire row, similar to Vegas so I can continue my same workflow. I only want the clips on that row to be affected by the selected effects. I don’t want to use adjustment layers.

I’m not very fluent with Premier Pro so there may be alot of other options that I am overlooking. Any tips here?

    Thanks

    Roger

You could create nested sequences [link] for each section.
