Vegas text effects tutorials? I have a sample video of what I want…
Hey everyone, new user here, hopefully I can get some help! 🙂
I’ve used Vegas in the past for basic tasks, and I’m really not a video editor, I just get by.
I need to make a promo video now, trailer if you will for a website, and I want to put an image up, with some text overlayed, but in a good style. Exactly like this really:

About halfway through the video as they have images tilting in the background, and a few words in white text that move and seperate etc.
Any advice on how to get this kind of text effect? I guess I have no idea how to make an image skew and move either….

Are you working with Vegas 8 Pro? There are several video tutorials on the use of the Protype Titler on Youtube.
And to move around with images, you van use the Track motion tool (which you find in the track header.Theo

And Brad? You have much work in front of you. The sample you gave was done by an individual who knows their way around a s/w suit that has propably taken months if not years to master. So, my friend, good luck!

* Protype Titler for the text
* 3-D multi track track motion for the Stills/Video Media

You can get “some” of that effect using Particle Illusion. Now you would have to learn that program, but well worth it. Find the text particles you want, then using paint make a .png file. Then you can use your letters in that particle event.
