Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Vegas Studio won’t import QT (m2v) files

  • Vegas Studio won’t import QT (m2v) files

    It tells me that the QT plugin cannot access the required components.

    I have downloaded and installed the Quicktime download on the link that is displayed by Vegas as a download site, but that has not helped.

    This is an m2v file that Vegas had just created, too!

    EDIT: I tried rebooting. Now all I get is that “none of the files that were dropped onto Vegas can be processed” without mention of QT at all.

    Vegas )Movie Studio and Pro) can’t import m2v files.
    You’ll have to find a tool (TSMuxer??) to break it apart into separate audio and video streams.

    I was doing a bit of research and found a post that said “We do not do it, because it’s not reliable.” or words to that effect. So I assume it was a Sony guy. It was a couple of years old so I thought I might wait for a more recent answer, especially as the original message was that QT install would fix it.
