    Ok, I just completed a animiated logo that tooke me about two weeks to complete and I was feeling pretty good about myself. I left it be for about two days and finally decided it was time to start putting in the sound effects. I finally found a few .wav clips that sounded like they may work. However, everytime I try to import them I get this message:

    I’ve already tried converting them to MP3 and a few other formats. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

    What form are they in? and where are you trying to import them from?

    All of them are .wav files atm. I try to locate them in the explorer tab and the import option in the pull-down file menu. As soon as I click on the file in the import option (have to switch file type to all files for them to even show up) it gives me the error message and shuts down the program.

    Will the .wav files open in a sound editor such as SoundForge($) or audacity (free)?

    Excuse my ignorance but what’s a .wav file atm?
    It’s the atm part I ‘ve never heard of before and I suspect this is your problem.

    I assumed it meant

    “I’m using a WAV file AT THE MOMENT.

    Try these fixes;

    ~rename file in Explorer without ATM suffix (to my knowledge, atm is only used for audio to text, but I could easily be mistaken).

    ~check sample rate, be sure it’s at least 32k/8 bit. Sometimes, some sound cards don’t like lesser sample rates.

    ~open wav file in your fave audio editor (maybe even Vegas in new project) and save as a new name.
