vegas sound
I have the problem that in some of my editings the sound level seem to get lower and lower as I enter more and more audio track,. Like if I ad the same sound below and below, and the track are not directly under each other.
If I open a new project and a audio file time after time in new audio track it does not affect this – it simply just in some editings!
All Vol. are set at 0 db -

double check that you dont have any filters on the master bus

If the tracks have the same sound and are not directly under each other (i.e. in synch), the tracks may be canceling each other because they are out of phase.
Perhaps you can explain why you are adding the same sound on multiple tracks in an out of synch fashion.

Only reason to place them in new tracks is to test if levels got lover.
Just did it again in a 20 minut dokumntary I am working on and it comes up the same again.
the more tracks I add the lover the sound gets – there are no plug-in in the master or else where (that I know of).Quite simple film – 3 audio tracks
1. backgrund sound (mono)
2. musik and voice over (stereo musik & mono speak)
3. a few cover ups for backgrund sound (running water and talk that needs to get the same water sound) (mono)any idea of what to look for??

I don’t know what is causing the behavior you are reporting. I tried it on one of my projects in Pro 9c. I checked a short section of the video, and found a master audio meter reading of -.8 decibels (the peak reading). After I duplicated the audio tracks, it clipped with a maximum reading of +5.2 decibels.
In any event, if your version of Vegas is reducing the volume, it is a simple matter to increase the master audio volume level control to restore the desired level.
