    Hi,
I’ve shot video using a Canon A620 digital “still” camera and its “SD” card. (By the way, the picture quality is remarkably good, and even the monaural audio!)
The resulting “avi” file imports OK in Vegas, with the video on its track, and the audio on its track.
But I would like to “disconnect” the video from the audio, and deal with them separately. Or even eliminate (delete) one or the other. Can’t figure out exactly how to do that in Vegas.
    Help, please?
    John

Select either the audio or video track by clicking on it and then click the U (for Ungroup) key.
    Modify as desired.
To regroup them, click one event, shift-click the other one and then click the G (for Group) key.

Turn on Ignore Event Grouping. It’s the button on top that looks like an open lock.

    Many thanks, Mike and Gary.
This Vegas is so capable, those of us who don’t use it regularly have so much to learn!
BTY, would you mind taking a look at my 7/31/07 query about an Animated Gif?
