More than likely it’s the, “I haven’t a clue how to fix that” treatment. 😉
I’ve seen this and it’s happened to me and I don’t know why it doesn’t happen all the time. I haven’t seen it with Vegas Pro 8 but it happens to me with Vegas 6 once in a while. I can speculate that perhaps Vegas is having trouble shutting down the audio interface or something and so it’s waiting around to get an indication that all of the devices it has opened are now closed and it never gets that acknowledgment. But I can’t say for sure.

February 18, 2009 at 3:40 pmSounds logical.. I happends to me on any vista64 box. Maybe it a 64bit thing. Sad, because if I go back to 32bit I lose my extra 5GB of ram.

February 18, 2009 at 4:15 pmCheck to be sure that all of your hardware drivers are up to date. Specifically video and audio drivers. No doubt, 64-bit drivers are a lot less mature than 32-bit drivers.
