    Vegas 17.

Sorry, I didn’t know how to describe this problem. I created a short (about 2 minutes) video. I added various clips to a separate video track which ended up being about 30 minutes long, then selected the stuff I wanted to include in the final cut. I muted this video track before rendering, and Vegas did ignore the content, however it rendered a 30 minute video, the last 28 minutes were blank.

This is how I’ve been doing this kind of creation/rendering forever. Nothing’s been changed, in either Vegas nor the system. What did I do to screw it up? I can’t find a setting that would seem to affect this.

    Hi David

Vegas must be ”seeing” video up to the end of the render. That’s what it’s suppose to do. It could be as small as one stray frame. Your best bet is to always render with IN and OUT points and make sure that Render loop region only is selected. This way, you will have control over what you are rendering.

    Cheers !

You’re right. I went back and checked my past projects where I used a lot of clips but the length of those tracks never exceeded the finished track, or I had deleted the clips I didn’t need. Thanks for the explanation.
