Vegas renders into multiple files…
Hi fellas,
I’m a beginner when it comes to using this software so please bear with me.
I’m trying to render my project (about 32 minutes long) into a single .avi file. When attempting to do so, after about 6-8 hours, I look at the finished product and I see about 40+ files of the same length (about a minute) and file size (about 3GB)! And none of them work. Am I doing something wrong here? It’s frustrating because it takes so long to render the damn project. I’ve rendered a smaller project before of about 8 minutes and I had no problems.
Please help.

It sounds like the drive you are rendering to is using the FAT32 file system which has a 4GB file size limit. If so, you should find the answer to your problem in this thread:

John, you are probably correct. I did format my portable hard drive so that my PS3 can read it. I’ll try this out and let you know.
