when i render my vegas clips to mpeg 2 and ac3 they always go to windows media player floormate.
Now for some reason it’s being created into Nero floormate which doesn’t seem to work with dvda2 when i want to make a dvd. How do i select windows media player floormate when i render my video and audio out of vegas? Thanks Gary

I’m not sure what you mean by “floormate”. DVDA will accept any standard MPEG2 and AC3 files. That’s what Vegas should be creating.

Sorry Edward for being so confusing….By floormat, I meant that after i render something and go look for it in one of my files, it has the windows media player icon. Nero has there own icon they use in the file. I did get Nero to work in dvda2. I had to drag it onto the timeline. It just took a lot longer to load. I would prefer to render so that it has the windows media icon on the file rather then the Nero. How do i preselect which program it will render/play in? Thanks, Gary

The “Floormat” as you call it is merely the program that your PC has that type of file associated with. It doesn’t change what the underlyiog file IS – there are often several different types associated with Media Player.

To change the association settings, open a folder in My Computer, then select Tools > Folder Options > File Types.
