Vegas Render Settings for Best DVD Player Compatibility?
I created a DVD tutorial which I have had a fairly limited distribution of over the past few months.
Some of the people who received it noted that it had problems playing in certain players.
Apple Computer – DVD player would only play audio.
Win DVD – would show video but no audio. My aunt has a little handheld DVD player that had difficulty reading it too. I’m not sure what the trouble is.
When I created the video… I played it back no problem on two different computers (one vista another windows 7) using Windows Media Player. Several other people I know have played it back without issue on cheap standalone DVD players.
I am wondering if it’s not a codec problem. I had thought I rendered my videos in fairly standard formats (MPEG-2 for video and Dolby Digital for Audio). I created the DVD in DVD Architect as well.
But that raises the question doesn’t DVDA encode the video / audio to a standard Video DVD format? I’m a little confused.
Thanks!
I’m learning the ropes of online publishing. Mostly as an excuse to play with more cameras.
