I am working on a project that’s a little large, not extremely, but for some reason Microsoft keeps shutting down with a message that says we have a problem with Vegas and have to close. This happens when I try and import more media files. I thought it was my laptop being overloaded so I switched all the files to an external hard drive and over to my other computer. I got the same message, so I dumped out Vegas and re-installed it. I still have the same problem. It’s on both computers. Anyone have any answers to this weird problem, thanks. Tom

knowing more about the type and source of the files you’re trying to add would be most helpful

Thank you, Sorry about being so vague. I’m using Vegas 7. I am so out of touch. I’ve been living in Central America and didn’t even realize that Sony has upgraded twice. All of my footage was captured HD with the Canon HV30. My Microsoft system is XP. I dumped Vista on both computers. Tom

That’s a brand new camera on an old version of Vegas. You might need the latest version of Vegas to get support for that camera. I would download the trial and see if it fixes the problem before you upgrade.

What web site are you looking on? AVS Video is a totally different company! Go to SonyCreativeSoftware.com and look in Purchase | Upgrades for the upgrade price from the version you have. If you have Vegas Movie Studio then latest is 9.0, if you have Vegas Pro the latest is 8.0. Go to their respective web pages to download the trial and see if it works with your camera footage.
