    I recently installed Pro 9.0 64 bit on Windows 7 x64.

I have tried several times to open a project which worked fine on Pro 9.0 32bit on a Windows 7 32 bit OS.

The issue I have is that every time I open the project – it attempts to start building the Audio Proxy files, it completes one file – and then stops.

The program itself is still usable – I can edit, add effects etc. The problem is that I can’t save (as the process for building audio proxys) is still going – I can’t render because of the same issue.

It only seems to happen with certain files which came from a DV camera as AVI’s.

I lowered the UAC on the Windows 7 to EVRYTHING OFF – thinking it was something to do with file sharing or needing admin rights. I elevated the program to run as Admin but to no avail.

I even tried turning off Showing Waveforms which apparently is supposed to stop the Proxy files from being created but I still get the same issue.

Does anyone else have a suggestion I can try?

I’m a great lover of Vegas 9 and if I can’t use it on my Windows 7 as a 64 bit version I’ll be quite upset!

    Thanks,

    Mark.

Since it happens only on certain files, have you tried installing Vegas pro 9 32 bit in addition to the 64 bit version to see if 32 bit will solve your problem?

Well I managed to get it working;-

I just created a new project – bought all the same media in into the Project Media – let the program create the audio files, and then the next time I opened the original file, it worked.

It must be something in the project file I guess,

But the good news is that it’s now working 🙂
