August 9, 2009 at 11:23 pmIt’s true, the ability “smart render” without re-rendering untouched footage is new…so that could be causing the problem.
And if your bravia can play the original files fine, it should be able to play the edited footage fine….of course, assuming Vegas is putting out a compliant m2ts file without any problems, which it’s not doing.
Guess we wait and hope that 9.0b fixes it.

Could I copy your previous post (which resume very well the problem) and send it to Sony ?
(I have a support call open for that)

August 29, 2009 at 5:28 pmJust had a first try, but still having the same issue.
I didn’t try as many different formats as before though, don’t have the courage spending as much effort as before since I feel it’s not gonna be worth it.

August 30, 2009 at 9:00 amBad news for me also…
Sony asks me now for a “sample file” that has the problem, BUT less than 10 Mo !
If someone manage to do a freezing sample less then 10 Mo…
(My smallest file is 80 Mo !)

August 30, 2009 at 11:56 amNo, I didn’t manage to do a file that small.
I suppose they only want a small file so that they can receive it by email. How about we put it on a webpage available for them to download?
I have an orange webpage that I don’t use, and were I could make the file available for download. It’s very easy to do.
You only need to send it to me. This can be done also quite easily with gmx. gmx is an advanced (free) email service, that also offers a 1gb space storage (I’m actually considering switching from gmail to gmx).
Since all the details are of no use to the forum, I suggest you send me an email to this address: vegastest@gmx.com
from there I can give you the usrname/pass to upload your file on the gmx account(simply by using your IE or firefox, no added program to install whatsoever). Then I’ll put it online and give you the url.
Of course, it won’t be protected, and anyone will be able to see your video if they surf that webpage. If you’re ok with that, we can do it and just send the link to vegas team to download the file.
…because I don’t know how it’s possible to make such a small 10mb file…
Tell me what you think.Etienne

August 30, 2009 at 12:01 pmI forgot to mention…
I would have put mine, but I can seam to get a file under 130MB and my orange account is limited to 100MB (lame, Iknow)
So if you have a 80MB file, that saves me a lot of time trying to get a smaller file.
