  Vegas Pro 9 64bit Preserve tape time code

  I have miniDV and Digital 8 tapes that are captured to hard drive (using windv.exe because Vegas 9 does not capture time codes). The captured AVI files contain time code information (date time stamp). I can see the date time stamp using Piannacles Studio 12. I would like to use Vegas to join or split video clips and write back to a file while preserving the time code information. I tried all kinds of options in AVI codec for renderring and couldn’t get it to preserve time code data. There is no editing done other than these 2 basic operations. Is there a way to preserve the time code information when write back to the file? I tried a free utility, Easy Video Joiner, which preserve time code data when write back to file; however, I would like to use Vegas due to its supperior clip navigations.
