I shoot Panasonic P2 MXF. When I IMPORT the many P2 fiels into Vegas 8 Pro and copy and bring all the files onto the timeline it places the files on the timeline via their file name rather than the timecode stamp within the MXF metadat.

The problem with this is that many of the files are now out of order.

Is there anyway to bring the P2 files onto timeline via the timecode that each file was originally shot ?

    Thanks

As a work-a-round I create a QT reference file in AVID (which imports P2 files in order of TC rather than file name order) and then import the resultant QT ref file into Vegas and all is well. Patrick
