vegas pro 8 crashes?
Please can anyone help. I was given a copy of pro 8 by the Sony shop I bought my AVCHD camera from (HDR-XR155)a few months ago. I made a couple of films using it, once or twice it crashed then, now after every couple of moves, whether drag and dropping from files or moving stuff on the time line, it freezes or I get the message that an error has occurred and it shuts down. My computer is newish and has Vista, so I don’t know what the problem is now. I would appreciate any help in clear language. Thanks in advance, Andrew

Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum. Make sure that you have upgraded to the latest version of Vegas Pro 8.0 which is 8.0c. AVCHD was still rather new when Vegas Pro 8.0 came out but this should eliminate any known bugs in previous versions up to that point. Let us know how you make out.

Dear John,
If you go home tonight with just one thought let it be me with my gratitude for your swift and effective advice. I did as you suggested and uploaded an update to Vegas pro 8 and it seems to have worked. It seems so simple and had I known it it would have saved me half a day. As it is, better that then all my nerves. Thank you so much once again.
